BMW X6 M 2010 - AC Schnitzer

The X6 M by AC Schnitzer with "Motorsport Genes"
BMW X6M 2010 outlines pure dynamism with powerful lines and the tuned X6 M by AC Schnitzer is even more powerful and sporting. AC Schnitzer not only gives the BMW X6 M more power, but also a tailored race outfit of carbon.  Front spoiler, rear roof spoiler, rear wing, rear diffuser and design elements for the front skirt and chromed front grille give the X6 M an impressive and muscular appearance. As an option, the carbon Bonnet Vents with chromed centre web complete the sporting look.
Pure dynamism with powerful lines – unmistakeably the "motorsport gene“: evident at first sight in the BMW X6 M. And the X6 M by AC Schnitzer is even more powerful and sporting.
The Aachen-based tuning specialist is currently working on a performance upgrade which, in combination with delimiting the Vmax and a sports exhaust, will bring a further perceptible increase in the power of the X6 M. And if that's not enough, you can also opt for the carbon fibre AC Schnitzer engine styling. Even without a performance upgrade, the acoustic and visual attraction will be enhanced by the AC Schnitzer sports rear silencer with two chromed “Sports Trim“ tailpipe trims in right/left combination.
The wheelarches of the X6 M by AC Schnitzer can be filled with 20", 22" or imposing 23" AC Schnitzer wheels in Type IV BiColor, Type VII silver, black or BiColor, or the AC Schnitzer forged alloys Type V or forged racing rims Type VIII BiColor. In combination with the 275, 315, 295 or 335 tyres, it's easy for the driver in the cockpit to transfer the engine power to the track, and at the same time provide external evidence of the "motorsport gene“ of the X6 M by AC Schnitzer even when stationary.

ABT New Beetle 2006

Hardly any other vehicle evokes such powerful and exciting memories like the VW Beetle. And there is hardly another comeback in the automobile branch that is so popular and greeted with so much enthusiasm as that of the New Beetle. Abt Sportsline adds to its fascination - with numerous technical and optical features for the best-seller. With the Abt New Beetle "classic", the Kempten tuning company builds a bridge from yesteryear to today. And for sporting and ambitious Beetle fans, the new rally collection from the motorsport family from Bavaria leaves no wish unfulfilled.Nostalgia has no place as far as technology is concerned. When it comes to power enhancement, only high-tech solutions are applied. The 2.0-litre engine receives a power plus to ca. 105 kW (143 hp) thanks to capacity enhancement by 200 cubic centimetres, a customized Abt crankshaft, special pistons, Abt camschafts, a cylinder head modification, a mid-silencer, optimised air ducting as well as changes to the electronic engine management. Abt expertise in the ECU field ensures an increase in the 1.8-litre turbo-engine from 110 kW (150 hp) to 142 kW (193 hp). For the 1.9-litre TDI, Abt provides an increase from 66 kW (90 hp) to 85 kW (112 hp).

ABT AS3 - Audi A3

At the moment, the Kempten designers indeed are working on the perfect body parts for the convertible AS3 at full speed, but already now it becomes apparent that the compact vehicle will become a feast for the eyes. The performance data of the engine versions stand for open-air driving pleasure: with ABT Power the 2.0 TFSI offers sporty 240hp (177kW) instead of 200hp (147kW); with ABT Power S 270hp (199kW) are provided. With ABT Power the serial 160hp (118kW) of the 1.8 TFSI can be increased to 200hp (147kW), or to 240hp (177kW) with ABT Power S.The sportiest version ABT offers is for the 6-cylinder engine with 3.2 liter cubic capacity: ABT POWER R stands for optimization of the motor management and for compressor conversion with water cooled intercooler. In figures this means a proud power increase of 120hp (88kW). 370 authentic horsepower (272kW) are offered with ABT POWER R. Also the 2.0 liter diesel engine in the Eos becomes sportier: the serial 140hp (103kW) can be increased to powerful 170hp (125kW). ABT Sportsline, of course, also offers perfectly adjusted suspension components and brakes for the fast convertibles. This enables the ABT Eos and the ABT TT Roadster to cope with every situation and to offer pure driving pleasure. These positive characteristics are exactly what also the new ABT AS3 Cabrio will offer - and hence will continue the success story of the open sports cars from the Allgäu...

The Volkswagen Polo Saloon 2011 is equipped with a new 1.6-litre Otto engine (77 kW / 105 PS) and can be combined with a 5-gear manual gearbox or a 6-gear automatic gearbox with sequential shift function (Tiptronic). The new Saloon is being built on a completely new assembly line at Volkswagen AG’s plant in Kaluga. The Volkswagen Polo is equipped with a new 1.6-litre Otto engine (77 kW / 105 PS). It can be combined with a 5-gear manual gearbox or a 6-gear automatic gearbox with sequential shift function (Tiptronic). Hence Volkswagen is the first automobile manufacturer offering their Russian customers such an up-to-date automatic gearbox in this vehicle class.A high level of safety is ensured already in the Trendline basic version—two airbags, head rests and three-point seat belts for all five passengers. From Comfortline and up, the Polo is equipped with ABS as standard. In the Highline top version, additional safety systems are integrated that are normally unavailable in this class—for instance: side air-bags and ESP.

ABT Volkswagen Polo 2010

ABT Sportsline is offering performance improvements for the Volkswagen Polo 2010. With the enhancements, the 1.6 TDI outputs 110 HP while keeping the fuel consumptions values the same. The smallest ABT is thereby not inferior to its larger siblings in any way, and offers optimum driving enjoyment with maximum everyday usability.ABT Sportsline of course also offers performance improvements for the Polo. They can give an extra kick to all turbo engines: The 1.6 TDI is available in different output levels – starting at the series standard engine. For example with ABT POWER, 75 HP (55 kW) is converted into 90 HP (66 kW), and after ABT treatment the 90 HP engine provides 110 HP (81 kW) and the 105 HP (77 kW) diesel engine is increased to a sporty 130 HP (96 kW). The extremely economical 1.2 TSI also provides 130 HP or 96 kW (series standard: 105 HP / 77 kW). The fuel consumption values – and thereby also the CO2 emissions – remain at the level of the series engine. The tuner recommends to use ABT springs for an extra amount of dynamism. Doing so lowers the centre of gravity of the vehicle, and the Polo lies better and safer on the road. The smallest ABT is thereby not inferior to its larger siblings in any way, and offers optimum driving enjoyment with maximum everyday usability.

India Gunship HAL LCH Light Combat Helicopter - First Flight

HAL has performed the maiden flight of its indigenously designed & developed Light Combat Helicopter (LCH). The first Technology Demonstrator (TD-1) of the LCH flew the 20 minute flight from HAL's Helicopter Complex, Bangalore on 29th March 2010.  This flight provided an opportunity to carry out low speed, low altitude checks on the various systems on-board. The crew reported that the performance of the helicopter and systems was satisfactory.
Derived from the HAL Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), the new helicopter is a dedicated for attack missions, and, as such, is equipped with an enhanced weapon system, mission systems and crashworthy landing gear. The airframe is also enhanced with low-observable characteristics, primarily regarding the thermal signature. Design and development of the new platform continued at HAL in the last three years. The program is now entering the flight testing phase, expected to lead to initial operation clearance by December 2011, towards induction into Indian Armed Services.
The twin-engine LCH is a 5.5 ton class gunship, designed with an armored, tandem cockpit, equipped with advanced glass cockpit, helmet-mounted targeting systems and full day and night operational capability. The helicopter is powered by two Shakti engines, developing 900 kW (1200 hp) each, Developing a maximum air speed of 275 km/h. This engine was  jointly developed by HAL and Turbomeca of France.
The armament suite comprises a combination of free-flight 60/68mm rockets, Mistral air-to-air missile, a nose mounted 20mm cannon from Nexter and a variety of air-to-ground ordnance including anti-tank/multi-purpose missiles, high explosive fragmentation bombs and anti-radiation missiles. It will be fitted with the Saab Aviatronics electronic counter-measures (ECM) suite for self defense.
Relying on its air-to-air and precision guided missiles ordnance, the new helicopter is slated for a variety of combat and combat support missions including anti-helicopter and anti-UAV air defense, Destruction of Enemy Air Defense (DEAD), and escort and support for Special Heliborne Operations (SHBO), as well as counter insurgency operations. The helicopter will be integrated with both Indian Army and Air Force units. HAL plans to sell at least 150 LCHs to the military services in India.
To support operations in high mountainous areas, the LCH is designed to take off, fully equipped from an altitude of 10,000 feet, and operate its weapons up to 16,300 feet. It will also be able to engage targets like UAVs that are flying at altitudes of up to 21,300 feet.
