BMW X6M 2010 outlines pure dynamism with powerful lines and the tuned X6 M by AC Schnitzer is even more powerful and sporting. AC Schnitzer not only gives the BMW X6 M more power, but also a tailored race outfit of carbon.  Front spoiler, rear roof spoiler, rear wing, rear diffuser and design elements for the front skirt and chromed front grille give the X6 M an impressive and muscular appearance. The Aachen-based tuning specialist is currently working on a performance upgrade which, in combination with delimiting the Vmax and a sports exhaust, will bring a further perceptible increase in the power of the X6 M. Even without a performance upgrade, the acoustic and visual attraction will be enhanced by the AC Schnitzer sports rear silencer with two chromed “Sports Trim“ tailpipe trims in right/left combination.

The wheelarches of the X6 M by AC Schnitzer can be filled with 20", 22" or imposing 23" AC Schnitzer wheels in Type IV BiColor, Type VII silver, black or BiColor, or the AC Schnitzer forged alloys Type V or forged racing rims Type VIII BiColor. In combination with the 275, 315, 295 or 335 tyres, it's easy for the driver in the cockpit to transfer the engine power to the track, and at the same time provide external evidence of the "motorsport gene“ of the X6 M by AC Schnitzer even when stationary.

ABT Volkswagen Polo 2010

ABT Sportsline is offering performance improvements for the Volkswagen Polo 2010. With the enhancements, the 1.6 TDI outputs 110 HP while keeping the fuel consumptions values the same. The smallest ABT is thereby not inferior to its larger siblings in any way, and offers optimum driving enjoyment with maximum everyday usability.ABT Sportsline of course also offers performance improvements for the Polo. They can give an extra kick to all turbo engines: The 1.6 TDI is available in different output levels – starting at the series standard engine. For example with ABT POWER, 75 HP (55 kW) is converted into 90 HP (66 kW), and after ABT treatment the 90 HP engine provides 110 HP (81 kW) and the 105 HP (77 kW) diesel engine is increased to a sporty 130 HP (96 kW). The extremely economical 1.2 TSI also provides 130 HP or 96 kW (series standard: 105 HP / 77 kW). The fuel consumption values – and thereby also the CO2 emissions – remain at the level of the series engine. The tuner recommends to use ABT springs for an extra amount of dynamism. Doing so lowers the centre of gravity of the vehicle, and the Polo lies better and safer on the road. 2010 Acura ZDX

The 2010 Acura ZDX will join the coupe-like crossover later this year. Staying true to the Acura ZDX prototype model that debuted at the 2009 New York Auto Show in April, the production ZDX will feature the key design highlights of a panoramic glass roof, hidden rear door handles and bold fender flares.Along with head-turning styling, the ZDX will boast outstanding performance from its 3.7-liter V-6 engine mated to an all-new 6-speed automatic transmission. The 3.7-liter SOHC V-6 all-aluminum engine will generate 300 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque for immediate acceleration response, outstanding low- and mid-range torque and superior high-rpm power. The 6-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters gives the ZDX excellent acceleration while also enhancing fuel economy.

2010 Acura TSX V 6

Unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show, the most powerful version of the Acura's premium sports sedan is fitted with a 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 that's coupled to a Sequential SportShift automatic transmission with steering-wheel mounted F1-style paddle shifters. And no, Acura did not equip the TSX V6 with its four-wheel-drive system as it retains the 4-cylinder model's front-wheel drive layout.The V6 powertrain also brought along a sportier suspension tuning along with 18-inch, five-spoke aluminum wheels, fit with Michelin Pilot all-season tires. To distingush it from the 4-cylinder variant, Acura slightly revised the TXS's front fascia and added a V6 badge on the trunk.

2010 Acura RDX

 

 Acura has released official images of its mildly revised 2010 RDX. Though mostly the same under the skin – with the exception of a new low-cost front-wheel-drive variant – the RDX gains a new more corporate face.The big news for the 2010 model year is the addition of a front-wheel drive RDX model– up until now the RDX has only been available with Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system. Thanks to a lighter curb weight, the FWD RDX posts better numbers than its AWD counterpart, achieving ratings of 19mpg city, 22mpg highway. The AWD model remains unchanged at 17/20mpg city/highway.

MG6

MG Motor announces the international launch of MG6 at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China. Till date, MG Motor has been selling mid-engined MG TF sports car in UK only, but with MG6, MG motor plans to expand the range of MG products in international market.

Protoscar LAMPO2 Electric Sports car

Protoscar LAMPO2 is an electric demonstration sports car conceived by Protoscar a Swiss company which has been developing CleanCar projects for 23 years including consulting of OEMs, power utilities and governments. The LAMPO boasts “quick-charging” capability (up to 100 km range extension in just 10 minutes charging time) and will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2010.LAMPO2 has two electric motors (allowing it to operate as a four-wheel drive with variable torque between front and rear axle for optimal handling, safety and efficiency) with a total output of 300 kW (equivalent to 408 HP), 640 Nm (over 50% more than its predecessor!) and over 30 kWh of Lithium-Ion battery capacity. LAMPO2 features real sports-car performances: 5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, 200 km/h of max. speed and a range of over 200 km. More than enough energy for driving is produced by a remote solar plant which is installed on the roof of a farm in Tuscany, allowing a real zero-emission drive on a “Well-to-Wheel” basis.

Chevron GR8 Challenge Series

Chevron GR8 Coupe is powered by a Cosworth 2.0 L YD race engine with 255 bhp at 8200rpm.   Volkswagen Unveils World Premiere of Concept BlueSport Diesel Powered Sports Car:-                      Volkswagen presented an innovative lineup of extremely economical and low emissions drive technologies at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS) earlier this year. Featured there from January 11 to 25, 2009 were the carmaker's Clean Diesel engines (TDI). Many experts consider these diesel engines to be the most advanced of our times. The reasons: high fuel efficiency and extremely low emissions combined with maximum performance. It is precisely this formula that has already won over millions of car drivers worldwide, including a growing number of people in America.For 2009, Volkswagen is starting the new year by presenting an automotive dream -- an affordable, uncommonly economical and highly agile mid-engine roadster. Its name: Concept BlueSport. Status: concept. Dynamics: pure. Fuel consumption: an average of 42 mpg / 4,3 l/100 km (combined; Highway: up to 50 mpg); less than any other sports car. Positioning: genuine, low-emissions roadster (113 g/km CO2) that makes every mile a driving experience.Behind the two sport seats of the 3.99 meter long Concept BlueSport (axle load distribution: 45:55) is an exclusively charged TDI or TSI engine that delivers dynamics -- these are high-tech engines that consume little but put out a lot. In the case of the Concept BlueSport version now being presented in the USA it is a 132 kW / 180 PS strong Clean Diesel (TDI) with common rail injection and downstream NOx storage catalytic converter. At a low 1,750 rpm -- i.e. right from the engine speed 'cellar' -- the 2.0 liter turbo engine develops its maximum torque of 350 Newton-meters. That matches the power response of an approx. 300 PS strong six-cylinder gasoline engine! A 6-speed dual clutch transmission -- the most economical and agile transmission system in the world -- transfers this power to the rear wheels. It is shifted either automatically or via shift paddles on the steering wheel. In just 6.2 seconds the sports car is moving at a speed of 60 mph (0-100 km/h: 6,6 seconds); its top speed is 140 mph (226 km/h).

Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa - Zagato Atelier

Zagato Atelier announced the introduction of the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa at the XII Villa D’Este Concours d’Elegance. Per Zagato, the TZ3 Corsa is a race car and honours100 years of races and victories across the whole 20th century.
