McLaren F1 20th Anniversary

McLaren is celebrating the 20th anniversary for McLaren F1, the fastest normally aspirated production road car. McLaren F1 GTR secured McLaren’s position as the only car manufacturer  to win the Formula 1 World Championship, Indianapolis 500 and Le Mans 24 Hours. McLaren F1 was first production road car to use a full carbon fibre monocoque. It took 20 years of carbon pioneering behind the launch of the new McLaren MP4-12C in 2011.

In 1988, McLaren took the decision to expand from Formula One and design and build “the finest sports car the world had ever seen”. In March 1990 the team that was to create the F1 came together for the first time.  In its 20th anniversary year, the McLaren F1 is considered by most people to be one of the greatest cars of all time.   Its exclusivity, technical innovation, racing provenance, revolutionary packaging and extraordinary driving experience have made it an icon.Just two years later, the McLaren F1 road car was launched to the world on 28th May 1992 in Monaco, with the first production car delivered to its proud owner in December 1993.

Volkswagen Polo Saloon 2011

Volkswagen Polo Saloon 2011 is the first Polo specially developed for the russian market. The new Saloon is being built on a completely new assembly line at Volkswagen AG’s plant in Kaluga. The Volkswagen Polo Saloon 2011 is equipped with a new 1.6-litre Otto engine (77 kW / 105 PS) and can be combined with a 5-gear manual gearbox or a 6-gear automatic gearbox with sequential shift function (Tiptronic).The new Saloon is being built on a completely new assembly line at Volkswagen AG’s plant in Kaluga. The Volkswagen Polo is equipped with a new 1.6-litre Otto engine (77 kW / 105 PS). It can be combined with a 5-gear manual gearbox or a 6-gear automatic gearbox with sequential shift function (Tiptronic). Hence Volkswagen is the first automobile manufacturer offering their Russian customers such an up-to-date automatic gearbox in this vehicle class.A high level of safety is ensured already in the Trendline basic version—two airbags, head rests and three-point seat belts for all five passengers. From Comfortline and up, the Polo is equipped with ABS as standard. In the Highline top version, additional safety systems are integrated that are normally unavailable in this class—for instance: side air-bags and ESP.

Koenigsegg Agera 2011

Porsche 911 GT2 RS

Volkswagen Phaeton 2011

Volkswagen Phaeton 2011 was unveiled for the first time at China Auto Show in Beijing. The Phaeton will be available with a choice of two wheelbase options, two back seat versions (three seats /two individual seats) and four engines (a turbo diesel and three petrol engines). Powered by the turbo charged common rail direct injection 176 kW/240 PS engine, the Phaeton V6 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.6 seconds and has a top speed of 237 km/h.The Phaeton will be available with a choice of two wheelbase options, two back seat versions (three seats /two individual seats) and four engines (a turbo diesel and three petrol engines). The six, eight and twelve-cylinder engines range in capacity from 176 kW /240 PS to 331 kW/450 PS. The standard drive unit used in the Phaeton is a V6 petrol engine producing 206 kW /280 PS. At the capacities above the V6 FSI the choices available are a V8 and a W12 petrol engine, delivering 246 kW/335 PS and 331 kW /450 PS respectively. On the diesel front Volkswagen is offering an extremely frugal and smooth-running V6 TDI. In Europe it is the most frequently selected engine for this car. The turbo charged common rail direct injection engine delivers 176 kW/240 PS and accelerates the Phaeton V6 (top speed in this case 237 km/h) from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.6 seconds. This is accompanied by average fuel consumption that has now been reduced still further to
just 8.5 litres per 100 km (equating to 224 g/km CO2).

Chevrolet Captiva LTZ 2011

Chevrolet Captiva LTZ 2011 features 18" alloys, 7" Satellite Navigation unit, privacy glass, reclining flat-folding rear passenger seat, ABS, ESC, traction control, unique rear light clusters and a 4-star crash rating. Overall, a nice packaged common consumer SUV.

The camera operates through the 7-inch satellite navigation unit display screen. This uses simple touch screen technology to allow fast and safe access to the many features of the unit, which range from Points of Interest to a postcode search facility. USB and SD card inputs provide additional sources for music and video clips.Both manual and automatic options are powered by the 150PS 2.0 litre VCDi diesel engine. Combined fuel economy figures are 38.2 mpg for the manual and 32.8 mpg for the automatic. The manual emits 197 g/km of CO2 and the automatic 225 g/km. Kia Optima 2011

 Kia Optima (aka Magentis in some markets) is set to make its world premiere next month at the New York Auto Show 2010. The all-new Optima is longer, wider and lower, which seems to be the trend these days. Official specs will be released as we come closer to the New York Auto Show. 2011 Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI Quattro

 The Audi R8 Spyder has been officially unveiled Frankfurt. The Audi R8 Spyder is powered by the 5.2 liter FSI V10 engine developing 386 kW (525 hp) and 530 Nm (390.91 lb-ft) at 6,500 rpm. with this powerplant under its hood, the Audi R8 Spyder is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and to 200 km/h in 12.7 seconds. The top speed of the Audi R8 Spyder is 313 km/h (194.49 mph). The engine of the Audi R8 Spyder is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission and the company's quattro all-wheel-drive system.

The Audi R8 Spyder price starts at €156,400 and will go on sale in Germany in the first quarter of 2010.Exceptional performance and breathtaking dynamism coupled with the intense sensations of open-top driving: Audi presents the R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI quattro.
